Fish Tail Palm Fronds redux on nature Friday

Wow, these are so strange! And they change so much. They look a bit like succulents. But also like a plant from outer space. They are a bit creepy, but also fascinating.

Strange but lovely. I am always amazed at the variety in nature.

The plant is fascinating

They remind me of peas trying to be acorns, grapes and dates. Are they edible? I used to have some palms that some said could be made into a jam. But I never tried to because the pit inside was so large it didn't have that much flesh to work with.
