Our 7:30 AM Sunday ride, I chose to drive over to the Mall where Bob and I worked and met each other and see if our favorite Pizza place survived the Pandemic.
Hungry Howies is alive and well , but the Mall made us sad.

We are thankful for our Blessed Beau Boy who loves to ride
an thankful we went to the mall and I I got 2 photos of a really long truck
and am thankful I could PLAY IN PICMONKEY
and add the two photos together and show you how long it was and get the mall and truck in one photo.
It's the little things that matter.

Tribe Express. I wonder what they haul and deliver? What a find! You used some kind of special panoramic effect. I bet this visit was sad, remembering the crowds and crowded parking lot. A ghost mall, to be sure. But there is still a pizza place in there?
love the name of her company ;O) we are always sad too when we remember how full of life some places were... but now so many are like ghost areas...
I'm pretty sure that most malls are the same (nation-wide). I like Beau's photo best of all.
Plague combined with a rise in online shopping to denude our town centres and shopping malls of life and human connections. It's a damned good thing that we can't buy a haircut online.
I stopped at a mall a couple weeks ago when I took a ride and it was sad how few stores were open.

Our mall looks the same - deadsville. Ours started going downhill when the University mall opened. I wonder how that mall has done through the pandemic. I like the truck and company, that's cool!
That trucking co is neat and I looked at the website! Very nice! SAD to see the mall. We haven't checked ours lately. It was nice to know it was there and they had a lot of good places to eat. It's been a terrible year for so many. Enjoy your day!
Sad! I'm old enough to remember the excitement when, in New Mexico, the first enclosed mall was built. Today, WinRock is a ghost town. Same for Eastdale here, where we'd take my grands so they could ride the escalator. (Simple pleasures.). I wonder what will become of all these empty spaces.
I came home with my permanent crown. I too was amazed. This in house procedure is about 10 years old. Zirconia crowns are used for crowns anywhere but in the front of the mouth. Ceramic crowns are used in the front because the color of your existing teeth are easily matched with ceramic but not Zirconia. I haven't had a crown made in 25+ years.
First 45 minutes of the 3 hours were grueling... the old crown and filing the cavity under the crown. The remainder of the 3 hours was spent waiting for the Zirconia crown to be made and then it had to be baked. They have tv's in all the rooms so I watched several episodes of programs on HGTV.
There are so many vacant stores it is sad....

Like everyone else...our mall is dying and is mostly dead. Sears gone, Pennys just about gone..Nordstroms gone and all the little guys in between. Except to go to the Cheesecake Factory pre-pandamic I haven't been in the mall in years...so I guess I am part of the problem too.
Good ole' Sears was dear to my heart since my Dad was a Mgr. at one in San Fran. I worked at one and my Hubby was a Division mgr. at one also...it's in our blood. So very sad.

Very cool the way you did the photo!! I think the Covid has taught us all that the little things really do matter. Sorry so much has closed. Macy's and Sears here are gone as well, but were well before the Pandemic.

I am impressed with her trucking company. The benefits are awesome, ya I took a peek at them. If I wanted to be a trucker I would work for them. Malls used to be the place to exercise for my mother-in-law after her free sample of See's Candy. lol
It is sad seeing the malls die. They were something amazing from our youths. But TRADER JOE'S survives!!! (so far)
Our Sears finally died a year ago, and sometimes I go to the Mall and just look at it. There is a "state fair food" truck set up in the parking lot, but that end of the Mall is d-e-d dead and the lot is getting very bumpy.
Bravo to those indigenous women and their trucking company. I wish them great success.
