Sunrise, Thursday Morning, 6:30. I asked Beau if we could walk straight and not turn right, by asking I mean I walked straight, and he allowed me to. ha ha
I wanted to check on the stump with the green growing and Wow was I glad we went.
In the two days since we were there, this is what we found.
they sliced the big one in half and in half again
Look below, the green is even taller, and they sliced and diced and found
the Heart of the stump. that must be where the green is growing from
click to enlarge if you want details. Beau was so good to wait for me..
Do you see the heart of this stump?

Beau is such a sweetie!
Awww, I DO see the heart. the stump is so huge. And it is SO sad! That green sprig shows it never gave up, even after it had been cut down! It fought for it's life.

Yes, that heart is looking vibrant and ALIVE... the wood is beautiful... YAM xx
I still so hate thst it is no longer there.
The heart is very prominent. The wood looks fabulous and I would imagine that in the hands of the right craftsman beautiful wooden bowls (or other items) could be made. Maybe you have your next project laid out for you, Sandra.😀
That stump is huge. I wonder if they will keep that part of it that is growing.
Like David said above, I too can imagine this wood being made into beautiful items: furniture, bowls, etc. If Steve had this that's what he'd do. First it has to be milled but after that, the world is your oyster as far as creativity! It's so pretty. I hope the land owners will replant something. The tree could be enjoyed by future generations that way.
I think I'm going to relax today. It's been a long week for us.
Love from Gawga. *lol* 😊
That’s amazing and isn’t Beau a good boy? Having him next to that stump sure shows its size. It is a beautiful wood!
That off shoot is a good message to the world. The most important one as you said, hope! Love that!
I see! "The heart of the stump" speaks to me ... like it belongs on a piece of music. Or a poem. Go for it!
I see it too. That would make a good country song!
yes, I clearly see the heart of that stump . Hope! ❤️🤗
I agree with Ginny. ⬆️ It fought to stay alive.
Okay I do see the heart of the tree. Do all trees have that? It is so sad, but it tried.
