Copy Cat Copy Cat

Above sketches are from week 42 of sketches on Ann'sSnapEditScrap each week Ann draws in her sketch book, and I copycat what she does using Procreate

She draws a new one each day, but because of time issues I can only pick one or two.

Way back on March 27th, Shug, of Shugs,Steps of Faith, used a leaf to make a butterfly and I decided to try to copy it in procreate.
Shug's leaf painting Butterflies

I names this one City Lights, can you find the city?

Volcano

I love fire, always have, not the forest fires, just matches and the smell and look of the flames. I attempted to paint something that says Fire
You don't have to worry about Procreate drawings, popping up hither and yon, because I am going to DUMP then here every Saturday and you can choose to take that day off if you wonder why, oh why?

These are all so good! I think my favorite is the last fire one. I can hear it crackle!

The first fire photo looks like actual real fire. I did find the city! You made a cool trick-of-the-eye!! Love your owl header!

I adore your rendition of the the Stork In The Sea Blue Boat (do you know the poem Owl and Pussycat???) And yes, I see the city silhouette. These are all wonderful and I look forward to your Saturday posts giving a whole new meaing to 'going to the dump'!!! YAM xx

You are so creative and imaginative, leaving so many of us far behind!

Yes, Sandra, I could see the city in the middle of that creation. Fire has also fascinated me, but only from afar. Enjoyed your art, as always.

The city lights look like the aurora borealis lights. I've never seen them in person, but I would sure love to sometime. I love your fire pictures. This fire is so hot it has turned to liquid! And the first one of the dog and the bird that you did is perfect! I love it. I love the caption and the bird in the what looks like a frisbee! LOL. So cool. I love how you have so much fun with this. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I love them all. Your first set of copycats on the water is wonderful. You used Flo's trick for drawing water there didn't you? I haven't tried that yet.
I also love your leaf butterfly and your fire. And yes, I did find the city in your City lights piece. Wildly applauding your creations.

I was about to mention “The Owl and the Pussycat” by Edward Lear, but YAM beat me to it. If you are not familiar with it you simply have to read it, although in Florida since two different species are sailing away to get married it might be banned! In the meantime keep enjoying your art and showing us the results. It is probably therapeutic - and downright fun too! As for fire, the flames are licking upwards in the fireplace right now. Quite mesmerizing! Have a great weekend.

So you are a pyromaniac! lol I thought you did great today - with Ann's and Shug's. And I did find the city - towards the left. Great job.

Well done MS and it is a nice outlet for your creativity and can be done in the comfort of your own home.
Hugs to you and the Double B's,

Thanks for sharing - they’re all so nice. I get what you’re saying about fire. I like to sit around a campfire and watch the dance of flames. Some of the most beautiful photography are those of our recent wildfires - truly beautiful yet truly destructive.

Wow ... so many things I want to say. Let's start from the bottom, okay? I'm right there with you on fire; the cauldron is totally mesmerizing. It makes me want to go out and buy a fondue pot and big brick of cheese to recreate this.
The second re-creation? I giggled out-loud at the duck's expression and wish he was a stuffed animal I could buy.
Your new header is fascinating -- and (to me) repelling at the same time. Our county FB page is warning small pet owners to be super vigilant b/c the hawks' hunts are increasing. Time to bring out my baseball bat!

I forgot to say, "Yes" I see the city. Is that Manhattan?

I didn't see the silhouettes until someone mentioned them. Clever! I like the copy cats best... I love whimsical animals.

Love all of these and especially the liquid-y fire in the last picture.
Well done on the butterfly and the duck in the boat with the invitation to the dog is terrific.
Dump away my friend...love them.

You're being very creative, and I'd say "you're clearly in your element" with the fire... ;-)
