The Surgery UPDATE

10 AM, July 31, 2020. The Office Lobby.... No photos of the 55 minutes to drive 19 miles to get to the office. Picture Me, the driver with 2 hands clutched on wheel, 87 million cars, looking for an office we have never been to...

The MadSnapper, madly documenting the surgery. They let me go in with him. What a relief.

The hubby, after the surgery, I am sparing you the bloody picture I took.. Bob laid like this from 10:15 until noon.

My chair was next to the bed and I had nothing to do. I got to watch the surgery, and the good news is she only had to cut TWICE. It could have been much more. We checked out at 12 and drove the nasty 20 miles back home, the Big Dog went balistic! 

 had lunch, fed the dog, and left for the 55 minute trip to the Ocular surgeon. 45 minutes, I knew the way... both offices are in the same area about 2 miles apart.

Bob said over and over, I hope I don't have to wear this bandage very long. 

The second surgery started at 2:50 ended at 4 pm. They let me wait in the lobby. YES there will be photos. Bob said tell them I don't understand English and you have to go with me. 

NOPE. I had to wait.

I am glad I did not know before hand what they were doing. The 70 minutes was long, i was hot, stressed from 3 trips of traffic, 

PLUS my bra was killing me. I DID SUFFER TO YOU KNOW

The nurse came to get me to tell me what HE CAN NOT DO!

He looked like this.

I took this when we got home, not in the office. Just so you know.

They had to do a skin graft and put meat from the other eye to fill the hole.

She explained if they did not do the transplant his eye lid would not close because the tumour took the hinge part, my word not hers, away from the right eye.

He had a horrible night. but is fine, but wait there is much more...

He MUST wear that patch until we take the long drive Tuesday morning for her to remove it.

I sent text to a few family/friends that started with this sentence.

Please gather bail money, I may need you to come get me OUT....

BUT WAIT THERE IS MUCH MORE to be continued

PS: as I sit here creating this post, i want to know why Blogger decided during this stressful time to once again CHANGE things around

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful we have insurance that will pay for Bob's eye surgery, thankful for dedicated Doctors.

and

I am thankful for all of you because you care when I tell you that Today is the day for Bob's surgery to remove the tumor from his eye socket.

We will be at first surgery at 10 am today, 2nd surgery to repair eyelid at 3:00.

The photo above is our bougainvillea in the front yard, and the house across the street.

NO we do not have a lake in our yard and it did not rain.

I took the photo to Lunapic..I am thankful for all the free software I play in and for computer skills and INTERNET ACESS.

Walking Man Wordy Wed...

When we're out walking we run into this man that is walking pretty fast and he swings is arms back and forth and we always speak and nod and he speaks to the dog but does not pet him and  I think he's afraid of dogs because he gets way over to the other side.

 We see him almost every day when we walk BIG but last week I met him while by myself and we fell into a 30-minute chat in the middle of the street!

The  next day we saw him and I said to Bob he's the same age as you are and he has a wife who's computer literate and he can only use a flip phone and he was in the Vietnam War and you see that Banyan Tree right there?

He was told me about the biggest Banyan Tree in the world  that was so big it covered the whole town and they used it for a flea market! They put the wares out under it and when the monsoon rains came the rain did not fall under the tree. It was that thick. It's in Malaysia where he went for R and R when he was wounded, twice. that was 50 years ago, I did find one like what he described in Hawaii HERE

 His name is John.

Bob says how do you know all that?

 I said because I met him when you weren't with me! 

Tractor ART

These 2 tractors have been sitting here for SEVEN years. The do not start or move. The man across the street gave them to Bob and he INTENDED to repair them and use one and sell the other..

They can only be used for ART...

I found all this is my cell phone while looking for video emoji avatar. Did not find that but I did have PHUN. Above top 2 ME and bottom 2 Bob... We have lived so long together we look alike.

(I am the only one that shops and keeps a running list of what we are out of and every time I leave I say, do you NEED ANYTHING?)

We are driving home from the Y, I have to use the windshield sprayer to clear the windshield.

I say when we get home, would you fill the windshield cleaner?

He says, we are out of it.

BECAUSE....??????? can you guess?

He did NOT SAY, I poured the last one in the container. He says NOTHING when asks if we need anything on the shopping list.

Walkabout the neighborhood, I see this front yard and house. Can you find the house?

There is much beauty if we look close.

Below I am standing look across the well kept yard next door... The tall bushes belong to the Blue house and I am thinking the well kept yard is glad they are there. Bottom right below, I am standing directly in front of the blue house.

The good news or bad news is, it stays this way year round here in Florida.

Talking Ladies Wordy Wed

Cont from last Wordy Wed.....

 And then on another day I came home late because of another 30 minutes chat and

 I said to Bob

 you know the lady down on the corner of 34th and 17th and that when she moved in she put out all that beautiful yard decorations?

His eyes glazed, he did not answer.

 I said   her name is Michelle

she has three chihuahuas

 she rescued them one at the time shee told me all about her Chihuahua rescues. 

They are so friendly and sweet and let me pet them.

 she has big flowered rugs in her house and cleans them by hanging them on the fence and using a power sprayer.

They are gorgeous!

He came to and asked how I knew what they looked like.

I said they were hanging on the fence and she was cleaning them with the cutest power watcher,

It's hers, she doesn't rent hers. 

She lets them dry and puts them back, all by herself and the are HUGE.

She keeps the power sprayer in that SHE shed! The one I show you every time we drive by and say I want one.

and she showed me her 3 sofas and 2 umbrellas that are behind the fence around the pool...

Bob has that I AM NOT LISTENING STARE as we walk along me talking a mile a minute. Yet he wonders why he knows nothing about our neighbors

 and next week I can tell him this same story and he will say REALLY????

My New LOVE -Photoscape X

New Coffee Table

While emailing and commenting, I sit in the bedroom in one of the Dog Chairs. I do this because when I talk to my phone, Bob's blaring TV talks over and types strange things.

there is nothing between the chairs but a dog bed, no place to sit my coffee.

This pink tub, slides under the edge of the bed, and lives there until I need it.

I slide it out, flip it upside down and Voila! instant tiny table. The chairs are LOW, it works perfectly!

UNTIL....

I place the table, I sit the Phone Pillow HOLDER in the chair, 

coffee in one hand, phone in other, I DROP into the chair.

I lay the phone down, sit the pillow on my knees, lean foward to sit cup down, the pillow flips in the air, clips the cup of coffee in my hand, the coffee spills, not wanting to climb out of the chair,

I leave the cup in a dry spot and when I am done, I climb up and walk down hall to kitchen.

Later that day Bob says, why is their a trail of coffee drips down the hall on the tile?

I am sitting in one of the DOG chairs. They were purchased as dog beds in 2005, for 40.00 each at a thrift store.

This one is the PILLOWS off the bed chair and my reading chair and the other is covered in a black sheet for the Big Black Dog.

Big is the 4th dog to sleep in the chairs. This chair was Baby's and the other Jake.

My Coffee Cup of choice since 2011, is the Gopher It Cup in these photos, story in prior post HERE

Important update. 

Did you know if the coffee pot is OFF and you want to heat a cup in the microwave, 

If you add cream and sweeteners before heating it tastes awful.

If you heat it black and then add it is delish.

Today, I added the sweeteners and creamer in the Gopher Cup! and thought Drat! 

Then I thought, put the black coffee in the one with the brown top, heat it and pour it in the Gopher cup  on top of the  sweeteners/creamer!

I did!

The POINT of this Cup Story is, I like the bottom one better, but do not use it because the gopher cup has a BIGGER handle.

Guess what? Now that I am down 67 pounds, my fingers fit really well in the brown cup.

This reminded me to tell you

A. Weight loss makes your eye glasses to big on your face (easier to fall off face)

B. Weight loss makes your sandals slip and slide on your feet

C. Weight loss makes your fingers fit in smaller holes.
