Sandra: 2nd shelf, round bowl, gray lid!

Bob: Where? I don't see it

Sandra storms down the hall and POINTS to the MIDDLE shelf, ROUND bowl (the onl round bowl we own) GRAY lid..

Same story, different day.

Bob: where is the vaseline?

Sandra: Hall closet, Middle Shelf, in the Basket where your nose drops are!

As I said it I walked to where he was staring at the basket like it would JUMP OUT and handed it to him. 

Just sayin.....

To be fair, not long after I walked in the room where he lives on the sofa, and said

I need a word..

What is that thing you get on your lip that hurts really bad?

his answer was Fever Blister. 

My Words are gone, but I do know where the BBQ is. For Now

PS tomorrow is SEPTEMBER! Wow! how did that happen?

Video Visit Venting

 

Above, I sat waiting for my 8 am Video Visit with my Doctor, I needed my RX refilled.

I entertained myself with my cell phone and when she popped up, I was ready.

BE Careful out there! YOU NEVER KNOW who is snapping your pic.

Have you had a video visit? How do you feel? I really dislike it.

the good news is no makeup and I was in my gown. 

What a waste of time, she can't take my BP or listen to my heart or take my temp.

I could tell her anything, also if they never listen to the heart how do they know my heart is beating or that I am congested... 

Just give me the PILLS I have been on for 15 years.

My other doctors gave me RX for 1 year unless i needed to come in because something changed.

Once a year, blood labs and a well check up.

This doc wants a visit every 90 days. 

Did I say what a waste? of Medicare Money and my time.

First Pick Avocado Nature Friday

July 18, 2020, first Pick of the year. We count 7 that he can reach to pick. Others we wait for the squirrels to knock them down or for them to drop. 

This is the perfect size, they get HUGE if they stay on the tree.

We don't know why we have no squirrels eating them, this is the first year ever Bob picked one before we found them with bite marks and on the ground.

Until 2 years ago, we had so many we had to give them away. For some reason, maybe lack of water, there are only a few. He grew the tree from a seed.

OR NOT...

This post has been in drafts since July 18th. We found out why the squirrels are not eating them. they are hard as rocks and taste bitter, even after it shriveled and looked ripe.

We threw the ones Bob could not eat out in the front yard, and usualy overnight they are gone by squirrles, possums and raccoons. 

Two days later they were still there, with only 2 bites out of each one.

I googled and it says if you heat an avacdo, as in cook it, it will turn bitter.

All the fruit on the tree has been cooking since April in horrible heat. we think that is the cause. 
HEAT WAVE. I know this is true because the heatwave has turned me bitter

These three are hanging so low that I can almost touch them, Bob is taller and can almost and my son Daniel at 6'5'' could pick them without a ladder.

The tree is full but they are so far not edible

Color me embarassed, I checked and every August for years I do a post on this tree.

Throwback Thursday 1981

 

Christmas at 5 am, opening presents 1981 above

That was the year I lost 100 pounds. I refuse to show you those photos.

239 to 139, in one year. I attended Overeaters Anonymous. 

From the time my sons were born in 1965 and 1967, every Christmas morning, at 4:30 I called my parents and they came over, the boys had to stay in their room until Grandma and Grandpa got there.

It was a five minute drive. The boys were 14 and 16 this year.

I still have the lamp and Santa, but the scary pressure cooker is long gone.

 I remember fussing about the unexpected Kitchen shot. 

I was making pancakes on the griddle.

Talk about throwback, see that phone with a dial on the wall? 

we will not discuss the wall paper. What was I thinking? ORANGE was big back then.

The fridge was Brown as was the stove. 

Be glad you could not see the floor. 

I found these photos in an old photo album and used my cell phone to take these, sadly the original is no better.

The photos were taken with the $9.99 Polaroid Instant land Camera.

the film cost  more than the camera and we only took a few photos.

We walked Big, Bob was cutting grass, I got in the pool to do excercises, I decided to get out and use the bucket to slush off the deck that was covered in pine needles and stuff from a storm.

I stepped up and again up and 3rd up I stubbed the big toe on the lip of the pool and

YOWLED.

It bled and bled and bled. I hobbled all over the house putting peroxide on it and trying to wrap a toe I could not reach, to stop the bleeding.

It stopped, after it throbbed for and hour 

I took one last photo and here we are....

I forgot to put on yesterday post of resting cell phone on your wrist to hold it steady, the one imporant thing. You have to choose the option of a floating shutter button, so you can move it where you can reach it... using the cell and the shutter button is awkward.

I believed I have seen every movie Bruce Willis has ever played in. Some I loved, some I did not and some I stopped before the end.

A few nights ago I found this movie that we had not seen before. Just so you know, we never will again.

I added it to the Prime Video and, as it turned out  he just had a bit part in it. We watched it and made fun of it and got a few laughs by picking it apart. Rain is the bad guy in the middle of the photo above.

In one section, Rain is running, chasing the kinda sorta hero, and he stops and does the Clint Eastwood Gun Thing... not the go ahead and make my day, the one in The Good The Bad and The ugly!

Yes! I have seen all his movies also.  Hold on, there is a point to this story. As Rain aimed his gun propped on his wrist, I leaped slowly rose and went to the counter, grabbed my Cell Phone and

Bob said WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? 

 Later AFTER the silly movie ended, I tried this trick and Voila.. the photos are so much clearer.

In the first 4 years of the 90's, I sold Real Estate. Janet Reno was in the news every day. In Walmart, at closings, with clients and with fellow agents, I was told over and over again that I looked like Janet Reno...  It used to make me so mad and I could see no resemblance. Now, I can see it a little bit. What do you think? Do you have a lookalike? 

Break is OVER!

 

Break is OVER! I rather be blogging! 

 Since C-19 and the threat of TWO storms In Our Gulf at the same time, I needed to put all the hoarded supplies in 3 places instead of 5. I found I was in a fog, trying to remember which closet had what in it.

I now have everything in one closet from the shampoo, conditioner, First Aid for bleeding hubby's, Cough, cold,  Dog shampoo and other sundries. Toliet Tissue, paper towels, assorted things that have not been used in years but if I throw them out, will need them..

.Two storage places are for food are in the kitchen and all extras for storm, water and cleaning supplies

 C-19 Chaos, August Flu, Back to School Chaso or even  the Apocalypse, it is all in one Closet and I am exhausted. WE are prepared... but we may be eating Beans for YEARS.....and crackers and peanut butter and jelly... 

Taking a break, Comments OFF

 We are fine, I need a day off! Closets will be involved. Maybe!

 this email came from what appeared to be Amazon. Stating someone had purchased over 5000.00 apple products and it had shipped to me. and if I did not make this purchase call the fraud alert number, 

I went directly to Amazon and both my credit cards and all was well.

I have no idea what would happened if I did what they asked.

3 hours later I got a robo call recording of the same thing.

Not sure how it go through my NOMO Robo call blocker. Some do!

 On the positive side, I get emails daily from WebMD that I signed up for!

I lose weight when I eat more protein and less carbs.

I am not a meat lover and search for ways to get protein other than meat.

Eggs I know about, but this said 10 food with more proteins than an egg.

I am Not an egg lover unless smothered  in cheese and cooked by someone else.

Chickpeas, cottage cheese, almond butter, cheddar cheese, lentils, pumpkin seeds, shrimp, quinoa, jerky and hemp seeds.

JUST A VENTING RANT!

I sweep the pool deck at least twice a day. we have lived here for 31 years. 

 

  he says: pick up the rug, sweep under it. Move the chairs, sweep behind them. DUH!

Driving in MY side of the garage, 31 years of me driving in my side of the garage

   he says  You are to close to the truck or you are to close to the work bench, turn your wheels, sharp. you are to far in, you are not far enough in.  DUH!

    

I am backing out of same garage, for 31 years. Never hit anything

    he says   Straighten the wheel, turn it hard. turn it HARD! Why are you turning your wheels?  DUH!

Recently I have been taking out the recycle bin and the garbage bin... BIG Rolling Bins..MARKED on the lid with big ARROWS how to sit them

    He says    Don't set  it crooked, they cant pick it up if its not straight, park it close to the curb so they can reach it with the claw.

Ground Hog day is every day..

   sitting by pool, every single day... the neighbors palms are getting to tall, going to be in the power lines soon.

    the neighbors vines are coming on our side of the fence, it is killing his tree. Ranting for several minutes about the vines and limbs and leaves on OUR side of the fence....

If you think it is strange that a woman that is over 3/4 of a century old, is playing with these things, I can explain it.

Life is HARD!  Being Old is HARD!  Having a hubby that is even older with health issues is HARDER! A scary diagnoses of Congestive Heart Failure on my beloved dog, Big Boy is Hard!

When I PLAY with the avatars and emojis and text people and create silly post like this one, it is an Escape. Like going on a cruise and getting away from it all. The good news is I do it on my phone, I cruise the phone and when Bob talks to me, I don't even know it!   HE SAYS that is HARD.

Above left side is a 3 emoji text I sent to a friend. Say it with emoji only... the other two are a couple of my favorites. They are animated in text, the bottom one waves, the top the halos wobble.

Below are just a few that I have to choose from... I love emojis and am new to them. Just since I got my new phone.
